SUNDAY MORNING

Throughout His brief time on earth, Jesus always spoke to people in ways they understood. He spoke their language in relevant terms. He used analogies and related to them without ever compromising the message. We want to do the same thing – share the timeless message of the Bible in a way that is powerfully relevant.

Our Sunday morning services feature
  • Casual dress

  • Upbeat, contemporary praise and worship music

  • Practical and relevant yet "deep" Biblical messages

Our services often are more than worship songs and a message. Sometimes we break into smaller groups for special times of discussion or Bible study. Sometimes we have extended periods of prayer. We also have periodic sharing times (see below). Services begin at 10:30 AM.

Classes for Children

Children are a very precious part of our church family. We feel that it is an honor and privilege to help our little ones grow in the knowledge of their loving Savior and to assist them in developing a lifelong walk with Him.

Our children's classes take place during the 10:30 service. Children stay in the service during fellowship singing and then may attend classes separated by age. In addition, a nursery is available during the entire service for the youngest children.

Sharing Times

American Christianity tends to be a "spectator sport." Yet the Bible plainly teaches that all believers are to minister together using the gifts God has given them. About once a month our Sunday morning service includes an extended sharing time in which all are welcome to share what God is teaching them in their own lives. During sharing times we also partake of the bread and cup in remembrance of our Savior.

Worship

Our worship band plays some of the newest songs by artists and groups including Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Third Day, as well as songs by members of our sister churches that you will not hear anywhere else in the Upstate. We also mix in some older praise songs, scripture songs (the lyrics are straight from the Bible), and the occasional updated hymn. First and foremost, we select songs based on the power of their lyrics, so that we are able to really worship and connect with God.
